The Amazon account was already set up and was generating sales, but with no real strategy in place it had gone as far as it could with the resources and know-how available to them, which is where Social Loop came in.
We analysed the sales from their shop and website as well as the market data available to us in Amazon which allowed us to create a list of best sellers to either launch or relaunch on the Amazon marketplace. We created a whole new suite of assets, ensured we had a fully search-optimised catalogue, with new images, A+/EBC content, Brand Story and Storefront.
We then used the Amazon Vine programme to get some reviews on the listings and once all listings were ‘retail ready’ and in a position to advertise we set up slowly growing the brand with a considered and profit first approach.
Now we’ve proved the concept, the plan for year 2 is profitable growth, with a huge increase in ad spend.
The Problem
Jenny and Amrit acquired the 20 year old South Devon Chilli farm business in 2022 and set about carrying on the good work of the previous owners. With a strong presence of local customers in Devon purchasing direct from the farm shop and an army of avid chilli lovers purchasing from their website, they decided to embrace Amazon as a channel in 2023.
